They are simple to maintain and take care of. As a terrestrial opportunistic burrower, the Tlitocatl verdezi will use everything it can to construct a refuge. A large enclosure with at least 3 to 4 inches of substrate, a hide, and a water dish are all that are required.
They have a long lifespan and are robust. The Tlitocatl verdezi can live up to 15 years if female, and 4 to 6 years if male. You may observe their remarkable behaviour and development during this time. They enjoy eating a lot, and as they catch their prey, they put on a great show.
